Janice Czerwinski

Biographical Info I’ve devoted 35 years as an artist, graphic designer and secondary art teacher continuing to pursue painting workshops during this time. Once our children were grown I began pursuing my passion for painting full time. I discovered plein air painting the landscape early on which changed everything. The outdoor canvas is like my sanctuary, my studio under the sky. It’s there, I feel most at home, painting the fleeting dance of light and shadow, bringing a scene to life with movement that guides the eye and stirs the spirit. My favorite subjects are coastal beaches along Lake Michigan, North Carolina, Florida, California and beyond. Next would be painting sweeping vistas in the landscape and flowers in their native setting. During the off-season I paint large scale works in my studio. My paintings have been published with the American Impressionist Society and shown in juried art fairs, solo and group exhibitions across the country. I’m blessed with fine art collectors regionally and internationally.
