Biographical Info
Don Yang is a Chicago based artist who specializes in representational art of plein air landscape, figure, and portrait painting. He was trained at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, where he earned a BFA with honors and later an MFA with emphasis on fine art and traditional illustration.
Don has taught oil painting, figure drawing, and artistic anatomy at the American Academy of Art past 22 years, where he also served as chairperson of Fine Art Department and Foundations Department.
Painting and teaching in his studio at the historic Fine Arts Building in downtown Chicago as well as outdoors in the Chicago area, he frequently exhibits his work.
