Occupational health expert Dr. David Hinkamp will discuss “Health Hazards, Hygiene, and Safety for Plein Air Painters.”
As artists, we can buy toxic products, even though they are outlawed by OSHA for commercial use, and we are not made aware of the hazards. Outdoor painting reduces the harmful impact of airborne concerns, but what if a product gets on your skin? What if you place your coffee next to your odorless mineral spirits? We’ll discuss art hazards in general and discuss adhesives, pigments and solvents in more detail.
